You’ll use your creativity and initiative to help our key clients bring customer insight and relevance to their communications and to truly understand what they are doing through evaluation.  They are on a journey towards building a data centric approach and are looking for an experienced guide; one who knows what they are doing, the pitfalls to avoid and key learnings to highlight.  Your experience will be equally advantageous in knowing when to align with their objectives or adapt to their quirks.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating & contextualising performance of communications (big and small), e.g. emails, direct mail, offers, trade drivers etc
  • Engaging and educating the client, helping them understand what is and isn’t working and what they should be doing next
  • Measure and evaluate the impact of our clients’ loyalty campaigns and share back the story of insight gained and the recommended actions
  • Look creatively at our clients’ data challenges and map out the best approaches to tackle them using best in class data science and analytical techniques
  • Understand the challenge faced by our clients in implementing data insights and assist them in developing a data centric approach to their business
  • Be proactive in researching and proposing new approaches to data insights for our existing clients, as well as leveraging internal learnings to attract new clients

 

 Qualities we value:

  • 2:1 degree or equivalent from a top university in a numerate or logical subject
  • Coding skills – ability to code in one or more languages (SAS, SQL, R, Python)
  • Familiar with data visualisation tools (Omniscope, Excel, SAS, SPSS, Tableau, etc.) and data manipulation software
  • Knowledge of statistics, linear algebra, probability theory, regression models
  • Demonstrate sound commercial awareness
  • Comfortable working with customer or consumer data and using code to create insights on key business questions (Transactional, CRM, viewing, etc.)
  • Has worked in retail analytics or agency analytics
  • Strong analytical skills and experience of working with large volumes of data to make intelligent decisions
  • Experience measuring the performance of customer communications across multiple different delivery methods
  • Experience of explaining to clients (junior and senior) what insights we are drawing from results, how we can be confident in these results and what should happen as a result
  • Ability to identify key insights from large datasets and explain them concisely and clearly to a non-technical audience
  • A passion for utilising data to drive behavioural change within a client’s business
  • Creative problem solver with an inquisitive nature
  • Keen attention to detail
