Big thanks to the Festival of Marketing and to everyone who came and visited our stand last week! It was great to see the content, new themes and meet with different people including competitors and potential new clients to see all the exciting innovation in the industry.
Our CEO, Edwina Dunn OBE delivered two fantastic talks called “Knowing your customers: easy to say, so hard to do!” and “The power of positive influence: Social media’s responsibility in shaping the vision and ambition of the next generation”
Starcount were very proud to support The Female Lead with our social media data analysis. Starcount conducted an in-depth study into how strong, visible female role models can be harnessed in positive ways to motivate younger generations. The results showed us the effects of digging deeper into what young people follow and engage with and how this affects their confidence and choices. With the hashtag #youcantbewhatyoucantsee, we hope to help The Female Lead inspire young females on social media and #DisruptYourFeed.
Our Chief Data Officer, Clive Humby OBE also delivered an excellent talk on “The Evolution of Relevant Targeting” stressing the need for companies to adapt to the new world, targeting customers on what they love not just where they live and what they buy. Clive, who co-founded dunnhumby & authored the first geodemographic segmentation tool ACORN, explained how demographic targeting has changed since the early days. Knowing where your customers live is not enough, you must understand your customers by knowing what matters most to them. Our new product GeoDynamix exists as an example of the very latest in geodemographic technology. You can find out more about our products here.
If you would like to find out about anything else we presented, or just want to chat with someone from Starcount about our products and services, please do not hesitate to get in contact here.
