It is the Rugby World Cup final tomorrow!
Surprisingly, England have battled their way to the final defeating the All Blacks along the way and getting the odd fine or two, and will take on the Springboks (South Africa) at 09:00 am GMT.
England Vs South Africa. What could go wrong…
I think we can all agree that is has been a fantastic tournament and Japan have done an excellent job hosting the event.
The Starcount office join the whole country in support of England, as passions reached a high in the dramatic semi-final against the All Blacks (New Zealand).
The support and passion of the fans can have a significant impact on a teams performance in the dying embers of a game, and can be the boost that the team needs to get them over the line.
That got us thinking, which Rugby World Cup Country has the most passionate fans?
We pulled a few of our data scientists away from their work and asked them to have a dig in our data to see which country has the most passionate fans:
Fiji ranks the highest as the country with the most passionate rugby fans, with Samoa, Tonga and New Zealand taking second, third and fourth place respectively.
Finalists and semi-finalists England and Wales came in sixth, while England’s upcoming opponents South Africa only came in eighth.
The USA, who did not have the best of times this Rugby season, came in second from bottom with American rugby fanatics in short supply this year but nonetheless on the rise.
While Fiji may have come out on top, England and South Africa’s game this weekend is no doubt going to be a hot contest. If it comes down to passion from the home nations supporters that decide who wins, Starcount are backing England to bring home the cup – that’s how it works, right?
