Sus 11 talentosos músicos, han sabido conjugar sus conocimientos en un ritmo alegre y único que le ha permitido consolidarse como una de las bandas más representativas del ECUADOR su pais de origen. Su primer material discográfico titulado “CAMINANTE”, fue producido en ARGENTINA y MIAMI ademas contó con la participación de reconocidos músicos internacionales como: Mario Siperman (Fabulosos Cadillacs), Akila Barret ( The Wailers), Pablo Molina ( Todos tus muertos). Su primer single “NEGRITA” se posicionó rápidamente en el top ten de las principales estaciones de radio en el Ecuador; llegando a ser por varias semanas canción número uno en el ranking de popularidad a nivel nacional. La importancia musical generada por Papá Changó ha traspasado las fronteras del Ecuador. Varios de sus temas han sido escogidos para formar parte de importantes compilados a nivel internacional. -------------------------------------- Papá Changó was born on December 4th, 2005, as a band that fuses reggae and ska with Latin rhythms such as salsa, merengue, cumbia, dance hall and others, creating an innovative proposal. Their 11 talented musicians have managed to merge their knowledge and their unique exhilarating rhythm allowing them to become one of the most representative bands of ECUADOR, their homeland. Their first album called “CAMINANTE” (Wayfarer) was produced in Argentina and Miami and it included the participation of well-known and internationally recognized musicians such as Mario Siperman (Fabulosos Cadillacs), Akila Barret (The Wailers), Pablo Molina (Todos tus muertos). “NEGRITA” was their first single and it quickly hit the top ten charts of the most important radio stations in Ecuador, holding the number one spot in the popularity charts nationwide for several weeks.
